Covid-19 Best Practices

During training, we will follow the current recommendations for local and State authorities. Health and safety recommendations may change. Below are the practices we have in place at this time. They are similar to our 2020 summer practices:

  • The program is 100% outdoors.

  • Participants are assigned to small groups of 6-8.

  • Masks are worn, except while hiking. Distancing is practiced.

  • Each person sleeps in their own tent. No tent sharing.

  • Daily health monitoring. Anyone not feeling well will be isolated and monitored for further action that may include going home.

  • Upon entering the restrooms, use hand sanitizer and wash hands with soap and water when leaving.

  • Touchpoints are sanitized often.

  • Dining tables are distanced with 3-4 people per table, spaced out.

  • Disposable plates, cups, utensils, with no reuse for seconds. No self-serve.

  • Cooks and servers follow food safety practices and wear gloves and masks.

  • The swimming pool is in full sun. Only one small group may swim at a time and distancing is encouraged.

Monterey White Stag has been hit hard financially during the pandemic. We are an all-volunteer, 501c3 nonprofit group. Please remember us in your charitable giving this year by making a tax-deductible contribution.
